Our Care Home Activities in Yealmpton, Plymouth
At The Manor Nursing & Residential Care Home, our activities co-ordinator arranges a wide variety of group and personalised activities. These are tailored to each individual’s needs, from musical entertainment to exercise and games.
In-House & Outsourced Entertainment
Some of our in-house activities include pamper days, bingo, quizzes, darts, bowls/bowling, and movie afternoons. In the summer months, we also organise trips to the local Café and Shops.
What’s more, we have a variety of high-quality outsourced entertainment providers that come to visit our home. These include a saxophone performance by Neil Gibson, singing by Zoe’s Cabaret Entertainment, G-Fitness, which involves armchair aerobics with Tracy, Holy Communion and songs of praise with the local church, and pet therapy sessions with trained professionals.
With our diverse range of activities, there’s always something for everyone to enjoy at The Manor.
Special Celebrations at The Manor
During special celebrations, we offer in-house entertainment, including a full program of live entertainment and a party for residents and their loved ones at Christmas, as well as Easter activities and celebrations, along with other seasonal events.
Birthdays are celebrated with a homemade birthday cake, and the resident can choose their favourite flavour. We also have a comfortable communal area that families and friends are welcome to use and decorate for their loved one’s birthday celebrations, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all. Our aim is to make these special occasions memorable and something that residents can always look forward to.
