At The Manor, we take pride in our excellent catering and dining facilities, with a Food Hygiene Rating of 5. We offer a wide variety of meals and snacks, including visitor meals, as well as special dietary options and assistance for those with specific needs.
All Dietary Requirements Catered For
With input from our nursing team as needed, our in-house chefs prepare homemade meals and desserts on the day, using fresh ingredients, including meat from Allisons Butchers in Plymouth. We have created a menu based on feedback from residents and their families, ensuring the food is enjoyable and includes any specific requests.
All kitchen staff are trained in the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI), enabling us to cater to all dietary requirements, including nut allergies, coeliac disease, dairy intolerances, vegetarian, vegan diets, and more. Meals are prepared at 8:30am, 12:00pm and 4:30pm, and snacks are available throughout the day.

Homemade Meals by In-House Chefs
Residents have the flexibility to eat at their chosen time and dine wherever they like, and meals can be customised to meet individual dietary needs. We have a dining area, as well as a lounge area where residents can sit comfortably for their meals if they wish.
On Wednesdays and Sundays, we usually serve a traditional roast dinner, while Fridays are a fish day, which includes options like homemade battered cod and chips, scampi and chips, fishcakes, fish pie, or salmon with new potatoes.
Our menu is seasonal and reviewed regularly, with our residents’ preferences at heart. The winter menu includes heart-warming meals such as stews, casseroles, and pies, while the summer menu includes quiches, sliced gammon, and ploughman’s boards.
