As a small, independent Nursing & Residential Home, The Manor in Yealmpton, Plymouth, is run by Shannon Young (Registered Manager), who is committed to providing the highest standards of person-centred care to all our residents.
Person-Centred Care to Suit All Needs
At The Manor, we provide compassionate full-time Nursing Care, tailored to each resident’s individual needs. Our Residential Care ranges from helping those who simply need a little support as they grow older, to caring for people with complex conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke, and Motor Neurone Disease.
Both long-term residents, and those who need short-term Respite Care are welcome. We are here to support individuals and their families through every stage, including End-of-Life and Palliative Care. Whatever your need, our focus is on providing comfort, dignity, and a safe, homely environment, where residents can feel truly cared for and part of our family. Above all else, we want to ensure our residents feel at home.
Working Together to Create a Personalised Care Plan
Whilst communicating with you and your family/significant others, our individual care plans are completed by Shannon Young and the nursing team to tailor our care to meet your unique needs. This process involves taking note of essential healthcare and well-being requirements, such as catheter or dressing changes, insulin administration, or observation. We’ll also cover details, such as food preferences, how you like your tea or coffee, preferred activities, and music tastes.
Our Nursing team is always on call, 24/7, and we work with multidisciplinary teams, including the District Nursing team, Occupational Therapist team (OT), Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapists (SALT).
